My Garden Flowers

You don’t have to go far to find beautiful objects to photograph. I found some in my own garden. It is Spring-Summer time in Sydney and there are so many colourful and delicate flowers that are in blossom or are just about to bloom.

This is what gave some ideas to show the story of opening flowers. I took some pictures where you can see fully tripped flowers together with new and fresh buds. These are this kind of photographs that tell and show the “before and after” story. And today was just the perfect time to catch a few of these moments.

What I love about flower garden photography is that apart from beautiful plants and flowers you can find so many fantastic spots that give you endless options to compose your photographs in the most exciting way.

Photographing these flowers in my garden I wanted to underline their beauty, colours and freshness. The colours of light yellow, purple, blue, white and pink separately or combined look so tender and soft with green leaves and green garden background.

The flowers themselves are so wide and big in size so that was easy to fill the whole photograph with just the flowers or play with composition a bit to create different patterns and colour schemes.

I’m looking forward to more fascinating photo discoveries in my garden and sharing them with you. It is amazing how taking pictures help you express your feelings and vision of very usual things in the most amazing ways that make you feel happy and satisfied. And I’m glad I’m so much into this.

A very nice and refreshing photograph of the flowers just minutes after rain.

On this photo I filled the frame with the flowers only, the beauty and colours of summer time.
